High scores

hey glenn
just wanted to say thanks for a great game
i bought it a couple of weeks ago and am completely addicted
i will add some feedback and feature requests in the other areas but shall leave this for people to post their high scores as i saw some other good scores around the forum

5 overs - 120/0 average around 100ish
10 overs - 221/6
20 overs - 431/7
50 overs - 945 all out, came close to beating it but was bowled for 930 though i usually average about 300-400

EDIT: just thought i'd add in highest indiviual batting score which was Strauss with 299 and best bowling figures (since last update)was ff(swing) with 52 for 6

thanks

5 overs: 118/1 50 overs: 730

5 overs: 118/1
50 overs: 730 all out, 362 highest individual score.
Most runs off a ball: 7, but I'm sure 8 is possible

362 is impressive for an

362 is impressive for an individual score, im still trying to get in the 300s just missed by one
most runs ive got off a ball is 6, i can see how you can get higher its got to take some skill though and a bit of luck
ff

it took me ages to get 100.

it took me ages to get 100. I think i've only got one, or maybe two scores above 200, and one above 300. Amazing how many times I get bowled either the ball before a milestone, or the ball afterwards.

To get more than 6 runs you have to play off to one side a lot so all the fielders go there, then hit gently towards the other boundary. It's not terribly difficult, I only really tried it once and got 14 off two balls.

yeh, i usually get bowled

yeh, i usually get bowled just after 50 which is ok if everyone gets 50 though can be quite annoying when your so close to a milestone like when i got to 299.

i can play to one side but usually they change to a preset one after a few overs so i can rarely try. when i do get the opportunity i usually hit it for four or too close to a fielder. i shall have to keep practising.

wow - there are some awesome

wow - there are some awesome scores out there...I really need to get a hardcore difficulty level for some of you!

yes, just beat my highest

yes, just beat my highest individual batting score with Trott getting 329 before being caught, all out for 802 though

and yes my team is named after England players

ff

finally beat my 50 over

finally beat my 50 over score, only just though, all out for 960 in 43.1 overs started poorly with when i was about 32-1 then fought back till about 400-600 when i lost 7 wickets then the last two fought it out till i stupidly lost my last wicket. highest individual score during this was 170 for strauss and broad.

how on earth coould you get that high a score?

tHE MOST I HAVE HAD IN A 20 OVER GAME IS 158, PL;EASE DIVULGE YOUR TACTICS. I HAVE BIG FINGERS AND SO I GET OUT ALOT SOMETIMES AFTER THE FIRST BALL.. TELL ME PLEASE SO THAT I START BEATING THE CHALLENGERS EVERYTIME I PLAY THEM.

sure i can divulge some of my

sure i can divulge some of my tactics,

i am right handed so i find it easiest with swing and spin to hit bottom left to begin with, theres always a gap in the fielding at the start, using fast quite long flicks starting from around the middle right of the screen, below the line.

at first when i started playing pace bowlers i had some difficulties, still do to some extent, i generally find having short stabs forward work best. either side you feel comfortable with or where there are less fielders. flicks to the bottom left are useful when the fielders begin to move though need to be timed well or you may miss.

generally just watch where there are gaps in the field, also practice hitting in one direction for a few shots so eventually you have confidence hitting in that direction and then change it so you have a variety of directions you feel comfortable with.

to begin with i practiced hitting forward left, bottom left, right and left and found that when fielders moved at least one of these positions was free and so i could score runs quickly

these are the tips i found useful i hope you find them useful as well
good luck with getting better, let us know how you get on

High Score

Hi - My favourite game!!!

My highest score was 121/1 from 5 overs - but haven't been able to get near this for about 10 days - has the difficulty been tweaked?

The difficulty now adapts to

The difficulty now adapts to how good you are Tom. As your high scores get higher and higher, so will theirs...

Glad to see there are others

Glad to see there are others as addicted to this as I am. It took me days to get a hundred, but now I do it regularly. My highest team score is around 700, but two players got over 200 in that innings. I tend to throw the last few wickets away cheaply for some reason.

Highest individual score is 235 (I just got that 5 minutes ago) but you guys have given me incentive to keep trying.

Tricky.

All out for 890 in 47 overs.

All out for 890 in 47 overs. But I had a 500 run opening stand with my openers getting 244 and 288 (my highest individual score so far).

Even if I'd made it through the 50 overs I wouldn't have come close to the 1000 that I'm aiming for. It's always the pace bowling that stuffs me up. I can only hit it safely down the ground and there are always fielders there.

Won't give up till I make it though. :)

wow, congratulations on a

wow, congratulations on a good score.

I've been trying to get to 1000, still no luck as I keep making stupid errors. I haven't tried for a while so may have another try soon, only been doing quick 5 over games.

I used to have trouble with pace bowling and could only hit down ground but more practice hitting in other directions will improve that.

good luck getting to 1000.

ff

Oooohhhhh...I was so close to

Oooohhhhh...I was so close to cracking 1000. All out for 969 off 45.2 overs. I really should have got there but I crumbled under pressure towards the end.

Proves I can do it from a run rate perspective though which gives me hope. :)

I did it!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 for

I did it!!!!!!!!!!!! 9 for 1039 off 50 overs. :) :) :) :)

My opening batsmen (Noy) got 456!

I think I'll retire now. ;)

wow, congrats on an

wow, congrats on an impressive score.

I took a break from flickcricket and went back the other day now i'm rubbish again, kind of like England v S. Africa start off ok get better and now rubbish.

That is a great effort! I

That is a great effort! I gotta say I do fancy myself a bit of a batsman (doesn't everyone?), but I've never scored 456 before :)

Are most of the comments on here from English people. Any Aussies here too! There could be room on here for a bit of banter! lol

Anyone know when the next update is due?

Thanks.

I see these excellent scores,

I see these excellent scores, and have recently started getting 100 for a 5 Over, but to get 900, for a 50 over match is unbelievable, that is intense, and I wonder how long he took to get there, and how many centuries.

Second Glen: The connection to Facebook is really bad, and I don't know if it is fault with Vodaphone of Facebook, but it drops very frequently.

I hope that you have looked at the comments about the changes that the fans would like to see, player statistics is one I would love to see, and match statistics.

Are you ready for the Ipad? i hope so. Take care and thanks again for a great game.

PI Prince - I think there is

PI Prince - I think there is a variety of nationalities here, I'm from the UK, Glenn is from Australia and darkandstormy is from Antigua I believe.

Glenn said in another post that he was working on weekends before March on the update, so I would say probably around then or later

darkandstormy - congrats on getting over 100 with 5 an over, also I have not noticed any problems with facebook connection, it may be affecting others though?

Cannot wait for the next update

ff

I'm an Aussie. :) Glenn, I

I'm an Aussie. :)

Glenn, I didn't even realise that the opening batsman was named after you until your response. How suitable that the highest individual score is associated with your name!
