a few ideas
heres just a few ideas that would be cool to see in flick cricket, some may have been stated before sorry to repeat
-changeable team names
-ability to change order of team so spinners arent always at 5/6
-more stats including ones over a few games such as batting average and the ability to see your previous high scores and best bowling figures
-ability to see scorecard after game
-test cricket so you can have 2 innings
-maybe an option whether to toss a coin to see if you bat first
-differing pitchs that favour spin, pace or swing bowlers ?
-ability to change bowling length maybe for an occasional bouncer if possible
-im not quite sure how it might be implemented but lbws possibly if you miss it and its heading for the stumps occasionally would come up as lbw ?
-maybe have an option for fielding restrictions if you so chose
-tournaments such as world cup and test series ?
-more customisable team colours
-multiplayer, though i know you are working hard on this
EDIT: i forgot to add difficulty levels as at the moment i average 300-400 on a 50 over game but i can usually bowl the other team out for 100-180 sometimes as low as 86 it would be nice for it to be closer if possible
thats all i can think of at the moment and even if one or two of these are added i will be even more pleased
thanks for taking the time to listen
EDIT: another one i remembered, would it be possible to allow you to be able to listen to music from your ipod whilst playing and maybe the ability to turn the crowds off, also it might be quite fun to add shouts of howzat! from the fielders if possible

Thanks for the list - I'll
Thanks for the list - I'll put a few of them up on a poll and see what the group think.
A lot of the presentation/stats/edits work I've already started (team names, history, stats etc)
On the appeals - while I was playing with the multiplayer code last week, I started looking at the recording API and thought it would be great to record your own appeal! What do you think??
cool, i shall look out for
cool, i shall look out for the poll
great news to hear about the presentation, cant wait now with that and multiplayer
haha recording your own appeal sounds fun, shame i dont have an iphone but only have a touch
im sure plenty of people would have fun with that
i can imagine many people shouting at their iphones trying to get the perfect appeal

a couple extras
I second all the above.
also
A. Selecting facebook friends for your team can be tiresome. It would be way easier if you could simply go your facebook list and select 11 people, then reorder them and assign skills (bowling style etc) using standard iphone drag. (right now you have to go back and forth for each player).
B. Saving teams and individual team and player stats
C. Being able to bowl a 'slower ball' as a pace man and a faster ball as a spinner.
D. Making it more conrollable to hit along the ground
E. Better fielding i.e. walk in during bowler run in and outfielders reacting immediately and moving toward ball.
F. Individual player attributes (speed, throw accuracy, catching ability etc)
yeh, selecting each player
yeh, selecting each player can be quite tiresome, especially as i like to edit the names as actual cricketers and sometimes it decides to revert back to the starting names
i like the idea of changing bowling speeds but fastest spinner shouldnt be as fast as the swing or slowest pace shouldnt be like a spin bowl
an example would be like Mitchel Johnson who bowls round 90-93 but then would throw in a 84 or Swann bowls 54 then has the odd 60 mph
i can be quite difficult to control the ball along the ground, i dunno how difficult it is to programme something like that
the individual player attributes is quite interesting which could lead to fielders dropping catches and makes more tactics for fielding placements ie who to put as slips and who to place on the boundry?
you have some interesting ideas psi

Hi psi, While working on
Hi psi,
While working on Multiplayer it became clear early that the current two team restriction, and how long it takes to set them up in the first place, is a real problem...My current test version has 4 teams that I can pick from before we start, and a separate save for multiplayer which is much better. I haven't implemented drag to order as yet though - but it will be in there soon. Being an Aussie (so yes - let the Ashes sledging begin!) having Gilchrist anywhere but opening doesn't sit right with me...
All other points taken on board.
Cheers mate,
Glenn
As much as I would love to
As much as I would love to sledge there would probably be a comeback about how poor we did in the ODIs.
That is if Cricket Australia have allowed you to sledge again.
That said it was a pretty good Ashes series this year, close and nailbiting with some quality cricket from both sides. Not as good as 2005 where both teams played consistantly well throughout the series.
